Ye Olde Edward Davis

I am very pleased to have gotten acquainted with Ed (formerly Edward) Davis because of The Carlisle Project and this blog.

I had no idea all these years that he graduated from Baylor and that he is avid Bear sports fan--as I am.  I also found out that he lives in Waco and had gotten acquainted with Baylor pitcher Steven White and sometimes sat with his parents, Mike and Benda, at the Baylor Ballpark since they were Clear Creek folks.

Well, I saw several Baylor games a couple of years ago when my daughter then lived in the area, and also sat with the Whites at some games.  I marveled that our paths had never crossed.  I marvel no more.  Today, I received a Christmas letter and picture of Ed and his wife.  You talk about an old codger, Ed is one.  Maybe he is two.  I may have seen him several times at the ballpark but never, never, never would I have recognized him as the Sir Edward from days of yore.

We need a section in this blog where we can all send our current pictures for posting.  I could see some of you guys on the street and not even speak to you.

While I will admit to being an old codger, I must remind everyone that my old pal Dan graduated several years before me so that would make him a VERY old codger indeed. But we both still have plenty of energy left to do all this writing and we keep waiting for some of you to join in this before it is too late!!

In case anyone is wondering why no new threads have been posted this week, it's because Sir Edward, ye olde administrator who only can do such things, has been out of town and away from computers.

We need for more--a lot more--send new threads to him. Maybe you do not have his e-mail address and he thinks this forum is too public for him to do so.
