Biography
George Carlisle was an extremely successful basketball coach in the Clear Creek Independent School District, whose headquarters are now located in League City, Texas. He compiled an amazing record during his tenure in the district, guiding many teams into the state playoffs with some playing for state titles in Austin.
During his stellar career in Clear Creek, Coach Carlisle compiled a record of 228 wins and only 42 losses, winning nine district championships in a row. He had a run of 7 consecutive years in which his teams were undefeated in district play. His overall district record in those 9 championship years was 92-3 and his teams never lost in 49 district home games. This was an amazing accomplishment given the level of competiton in district play each year.
George is highly respected and warmly remembered by all his former players, Wildcat fans everywhere, and the many friends he has made over the years. He truly is a legend in his own time.
